Frequently Asked Questions

Branding is much more than your nonprofit’s logo, and in many cases you’ve got a lot of visual equity invested in your logo. We may recommend just cleaning up the design rather than taking on an entire revamp. A brand assessment is not permission to slash and burn your current brand style, but to take a look at where there are strengths, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement that will give you the most bang for your marketing bucks!

At the end of your brand assessment, we’ll provide you with an itemized estimate for HeartSpark to implement the design changes, as well as a price range of different cost options to hire freelancers or agencies. We know our design style isn’t for everyone, and we want to set you up for success – whether you work with our branding studio or go with one of our trusted partners.

Absolutely! Being the sole designer at a nonprofit can get really lonely and zap creative inspiration. In some cases, nonprofit designers may even be self-taught. If your marketer or designer has been working on your nonprofit for a while and feels stuck, it may be time for an outside opinion and some fresh inspiration! An honest brand assessment can often be the shot of inspiration that your team needs to push through the creative ceiling.

Branding is a big deal. It affects every part of your nonprofit, including day-to-day operations. While a brand redesign may not be in the cards for this year, you’ll have a clear-cut cost estimate to share with the board so you can budget in the work for the next fiscal year. We’ll also provide some “quick win” tasks that you can accomplish to freshen up your look before going through a larger rebranding process.
